Salvatore J. Mantia

     Salvatore J. Mantia, age 92, beloved husband of Anne (Tesauro) Mantia passed away on Thursday November 30, 2017 at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, Norwalk. Sam was born on November 28, 1925 in New York City, son of the late Angelo and Concetta (Tornabe) Mantia.  Sam worked as a machinist for Airpot.

     In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Connie and her husband Steve Brown, stepson Salvatore Bottone, Jr, stepdaughter Valerie Sielert and her husband William, a brother Joseph Mantia,3 grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel and Rebecca, 3 step grandchildren, Christina, Kelly and Dylan, and many nieces and nephews.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 228 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. There will be no calling hours  The family would like to send a special thank you for the wonderful, loving care at Maplewood at Strawberry Hill, Norwalk and also Vitas Healthcare, Norwalk
