Sylvia S. Caruso

Sylvia S. Caruso, age 92 of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Notre Convalescent Home on Thursday, December 7.  She was the wife of the late Louis D. Caruso.  Sylvia was born in Norwalk on July 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Rossi.  She enjoyed knitting and crochet, cooking, gardening and being outdoors.  Sylvia loved dogs and especially loved taking care of her family and maintaining her home.  She also worked several years for the Hat Corp. of America.

     Survivors include two sons, Daniel J. (Ida) Caruso and Louis A. (Lisa) Caruso, both of Norwalk, a brother Charles Rossi of Westport, a sister Anna DiGirolamo of MD, her granddaughter Dani Caruso and many nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her siblings Henrietta, Rose, Joseph and Hugo.

          The family will receive friends on Monday December 11 from 9:00 to 9:30 at the Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday December 11, 2017 at 10:00 at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave. Norwalk, CT 06854 with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery on Richards Ave. in Norwalk.
