Angie M. (Fioretta) Lentz

Angie Fioretta Lentz, 89, died peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018.

Angie was born in Stamford, the only child of Mary (Cammorata) and Patsy Fioretta. She grew up in the Cove section of Stamford and attended Rogers School. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1947 and married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Adolph Lentz in 1951. She moved to Norwalk, CT, in 2004 to live with her daughter and family.

Angie was a teacher’s aide for the Stamford School system for many years, and was a receptionist at SCM Corporation, Wang Laboratories and MBIA in Armonk, NY.

Angie’s entire life was simply an opportunity to love others. She had a beautiful smile and made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She was the center and heart of her family. Always smiling, always upbeat and positive, she was simply a role model of how to be a good person.

Angie was predeceased by her parents, husband, nephew Ronald and many cousins and friends. She is survived by her son John of Texas, her daughter Kali DiMarco and son-in law Ralph DiMarco of Norwalk, her Grandchildren Adrienne DiMarco (Rob Lanzilli), Tyler DiMarco (Gabriela), and Olivia DiMarco, and a great granddaughter Jude Evelyn Lanzilli. She is also survived by two nephews Stephen Vogt (Caren) and Carl Vogt, and two great-nieces Katie and Naomi Vogt.

Angie’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00am at St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place. Internment will be at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County or St. Philip Church, or simply write a note to someone to make them feel special.
