Antoinette "Toni" (Lodato) Zezima

     Antoinette “Toni” Zezima, age 88 of Wilton and former Stamford resident, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 15.  She was the loving wife of the late Gerardo “Jerry” Zezima, Jr.  Toni was born in West Virginia on June 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Mario and Angela (Castro) Lodato.  She was a graduate of Seton Hall University and received her certificate as a physical therapist from Columbia University.  Toni worked for many years with Easter Seal Rehab in Stamford and the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County, both as a physical therapist.  Toni was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton and a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford.  She was an avid NY Knicks fan and loved spending time with her family and church community.

     Survivors include two children, Terri Sargent and Gerard Zezima, her siblings John and Mario Lodato and Jo Cunningham, her grandchildren Joseph, Brian and his wife Mary Beth, and Kathleen, great grandchildren Tyler, Sophia, Grace, Lily, Kyla and Joseph, and many nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her siblings Philip, Ross, Rose, Mary, Angie and Pauline.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 18, 10 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Rd., Wilton, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.  Toni’s family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Friday from 4-8 PM.  Donations in her name may be made to Notre Dame Convalescent Home “SSTV”, 76 West Rocks Rd., Norwalk, 06851.
