Antonio Treglia

Antonio Treglia, age 89 of Norwalk passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday February 22. Born on February 7, 1929 in Minturno, Italy to the late Franseco and Maria (Fedele) Treglia, he was one of seven children.

Antonio came to the United States in 1963 where he worked as a mason for his entire life. He loved gardening, making homemade wine, and having his friends come visit while he shared his makings.

Antonio was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Maria Conte Treglia. He was also predeceased by a brother Joseph and two sisters Civita and Lucia.

Antonio is survived by his daughter Maria Luisa Gagstetter and her husband Richard of Norwalk, 2 cherished granddaughters; Elisa Margaret Noble and Kristina Rose McNamara as well as 3 great grandchildren; Madison, Jordyn, and Kolton. In addition, he is survived by 2 brothers; David Treglia and Salvatore Treglia and his wife Victoria of Norwalk, as well as a sister Antonietta of Italy.

His family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home on Wednesday February 28 from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday February 28 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 669 West Ave Norwalk, CT, with entombment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT.
