Carmem Faria, 89, of Norwalk died on January 2, 2022 at her home in Norwalk. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, she was the daughter of Agenor and Maria (Aguiar) Faria, and had worked as a successful seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, jewelry, having a good laugh and spending time with her loved ones. Carmem was a woman with glamour and a free spirit. Her parents

She is survived by her loving daughter, Carla Araujo and husband Sanzio of Norwalk, grandchildren: Emily, Victor and Thomas Araujo, nieces and nephews, and her close friends Grace Lambert Goretti Pillsbury and Cida.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7 PM on Saturday, January 9, at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Place, Norwalk. Other services held privately.
