Charles “Todd” Gilchrist passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020 in Inverness, Florida. Born on July 7, 1944 in Stamford to Charles and Helen (Mulhare) Gilchrist, Todd graduated from Norwalk High School and went on to serve his country in the US Army. He enjoyed a lengthy career as an electrician for Local 208 before retiring to play golf.
He could build a house from the ground up and could fix anything at all. He loved coaching baseball and softball. His playlist always included Fats Domino, Jim Croce, and the Mamas and the Papas. Friends and family knew they could count on him. He loved a good joke, a hearty meal, and a cheap cigar.
He was “one of the good ones” and our world is not as bright without him. We will miss him forever.
He is survived by his adoring wife Theresa (DiMassa); his loving children Kristin (PJ) Wax and Chad (Melissa) Gilchrist; and the loves of his life, his cherished grandchildren: Cal, Dana, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, James, Christopher and Keira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 21 at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk. (Due to Covid 19 regulations, Mass is by family invite only, masks & social distancing observed.)
