Obituary
It is with deep sadness we share that Christopher Avery passed suddenly, but peacefully on April 20, 2023 at home. He was a loving husband to Karen Avery, devoted father to Kate and Michelle Avery, and brother to William, Carol, David Avery, predeceased by his parents David Avery, Anne York and his brother, Thomas Avery. He is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Born in 1955, Chris attended Rye High School and earned a full basketball scholarship to Bryant University. Chris had a successful career as an advertising sales executive, proudly following in his father’s footsteps. Chris was a loyal friend to many and an avid sports fan, especially to the New York Mets, New York Giants and the Miami Heat. Chris enjoyed music, travel, boating and craft beers.
There will be a celebration of Chris’ life on Sunday, April 30th at 2 pm at the United Church of Rowayton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in his name.
