Daniel Deering III Obituary

Daniel Joseph Deering III, 83 Died on August 20, 2021, in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Fabrizio) Deering for 44 years, born in Norwalk and a resident until his retirement and move to Port St Lucie Florida. Son of the late Daniel J. Deering II and Virginia (Reilly) Deering, he is also predeceased by his brother Timothy Deering.

He was the retired Owner and V.P. of The Deering Company. Involved with his sons for many years with Deering Construction, Inc. He was a longstanding member of the Shorehaven Golf Club, the South Norwalk Boat Club, the Quartette Club, Laurel Club, Oak Hills Golf Course Board member. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and sports enthusiast, as well as an amateur movie buff and collector.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by his children, Daniel and wife Paula of Easton, Maureen Deering Davis and spouse Karun Kamar of Old Torrance, CA, Michael and his wife Karyn of Norwalk, Stepsons, Thomas MacKnight, and Scott MacKnight. Grandchildren: Nicole Deering Spivey, Christopher Deering, Bradley Davis, Chelsea Davis Redding, Troy Deering, and Ryan Deering. Great- grandchildren; Charlie Daniel Spivey, Aurora Davis, and sister Mary Deering Hastings.

His family will receive friends on Sunday 8/29 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Magners Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday 8/30/21 at St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk, with Burial to follow at St Johns Cemetery, Richards Ave, Norwalk.

Memorials Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to: St Philip Church, Norwalk, or St Bernadette Church in Port St. Lucie.
