Domenico "Dom" Cappuccia

     Domenico “Dom” Cappuccia, age 48 of Norwalk, died suddenly at the Norwalk Hospital on December 3, 2021.  He was the loving husband of Jessica LaRose and the proud father of Domenico “Nico” Cappuccia, Jr.  Dom was born in Norwalk on March 2, 1973 to Nicandro and MaryAnn (Fruscino) Cappuccia.  He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and the CT Institute of Art.  Dom worked as an electrician and was co-owner of Nick Cappuccia Electric & Sons.  He also had a great love for music, especially Elvis and country music, and was well known locally as “DJ Dom”.  Dom also took great pride in his artwork and was known for his caricatures of family and friends.  He loved wrestling, NASCAR, cooking, and was very proud of his Italian heritage. Dom was a loving, devoted husband and an amazing father to his pride and joy, Nico.  He was also a longtime member of the St. Ann Club in Norwalk.
    Survivors also include a sister, Maria Vozzo and her husband John, a brother Antonio Cappuccia, brother-in-law Christopher LaRose, his godson Anthony Vozzo, niece Isabella Cappuccia, Mother and Father-In-Law Pinky & Brad LaRose, and many aunts, uncles and cousins here and in Italy.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Dom’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Wednesday from 3-7 PM. Members of the St. Ann Club will meet at the funeral home at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers an account for the well-being and education of Nico has been set up.
