Donald Neumann Obituary

Donald Scott Neumann, 98, of New York City, beloved husband of Edwina (Greenway) Neumann for 56 years, died on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in New York, after a well-lived and long life.  Born in New York City, son of the late Aaron and Lillian C. (Nagel) Neumann, he was a graduate of Scarsdale High School and UCLA, Class of 1942.  A veteran of World War II, he served in the US Army in the Ardennes, and later had worked in the home furnishing textile business, as a mill representative.  He and his wife enjoyed spending time with friends in Manchester-By-The-Sea, in Massachusetts, at the Bath and Tennis Club. He loved traveling the World with his Wife, going to the Opera, being an usher in church at St. Vincent Ferrer for Christmas Midnight Mass and listening to Country Music.

Predeceased by all five of his siblings: Douglass Howell Neumann, Mary Howell Neumann Spada, Aaron Neumann, Phyllis Neumann Plehaty and William Neumann, He is survived by his loving wife, Edwina, daughter Caroline Adl and her husband Rommin of New Canaan, son, Donald Scott Neumann Jr & his wife Christine (Edwards) Neumann, and daughter Pamela Neumann Sameck and her husband William, as well as four cherished grandchildren; Amelia Sameck, Charles, Audrey, and Nicholas Adl. 

He will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, on Monday, March 29, with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made here:
