Edward Valentino (Val) Bueti age 97 passed away on December 11, 2020. Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Edward and Concetta (Romeo) Bueti. He was educated in Italy and held a master’s degree in languages. He migrated to the US after WWII and settled with family in Westchester County, NY. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary, his children Connie, Peter and Edward. He is also survived by grandchildren Valerie (Tim) Barber, Peter John (Angelina), Victoria and Nicholas. In addition, he has a brother-in-law, Carmelo (Lucille) Tomas, PhD of Wilmington, North Carolina. He has many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy. He was predeceased by his siblings which included 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He owned and operated several businesses and was a well-known master craftsman in Westchester County, NY building many beautiful private homes. He was an environmentalist who loved the land and a gardener who took great pride in sharing his vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his property in Herkimer County, NY for many years. A mass of Christian burial HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18, at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, So. Norwalk. Private burial will take place at the family plot at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan. Donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph’s St. Ladislaus Parish 85 So. Main St., So. Norwalk, Ct., 06854. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
