Elizabeth T. (Tighe) DeBlock

     Elizabeth T. “Betty” DeBlock, age 87 of Norwalk, died peacefully at her home with loved ones by her side April 21, 2019.  Born in Colorado on June 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Yule) Tighe.  Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Norwalk and member of the Black Rock Church in Fairfield, where she was a member of the Young at Heart Group and various Bible study groups.  She was also an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fan. For the last several years she also enjoyed the activities and her time spent at Elder House in Norwalk.

     Elizabeth was pre-deceased by her brother John Tighe. She is survived by her children John DeBlock, III and his wife Marta, Suzanne DeBlock, and Wayne DeBlock and his wife Karen, her brother’s widow Mary Tighe, grandchildren Hannah, John IV, Taylor, Kathryn and James, and several nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held at 4 PM on June 14 at the Black Rock Church, 3685 Black Rock Tnpk., Fairfield.
