Obituary
On May 20th 2023, Elizabeth Kardash, wife of the late Joseph Kardash, passed away at 89 years of age with her family by her side. Elizabeth was born on June 7th, 1933 in Beaver Falls Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Ann (Slovak) Batoha. In addition to her husband Joseph, Elizabeth was predeceased by her daughter Linda Kardash.
Elizabeth lived a life of selfless devotion to all. She was a woman of many talents, including sewing, baking, gardening and crocheting. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed the simple pleasures of bird watching and the ocean. It could be said that her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren, Sarah Krysiuk, Nicole and Joseph Versace and Jaclyn and Jenna Bellano. Elizabeth had a huge impact on all of their lives.
Elizabeth was a great supporter of the Church in her life. She was a long - time member of Living Word Christian Church in Mamaroneck, New York while she resided in Yonkers New York and later Word Alive Bible Church in Norwalk, Connecticut when she moved to Norwalk, where she lived until her death. Elizabeth was a tireless worker and supporter of both churches. After retirement, Elizabeth volunteered at the Norwalk Hospital at the GI lab section and was loved by all.
Elizabeth is survived by two sisters, Kathy Abbott and Genevieve Luraghi, both residing in North Carolina. She is also survived by three daughters, Judith (Frank) Krysiuk, Janet (Randy) Hutchinson and Mary Ann (Enrico)Versace.
Burial will be held privately by her family.
