Fred H. Van Scoy, Jr.

Fred H. Van Scoy, Jr, 88, of Norwalk, died on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Ludlowe Center in Fairfield. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Cardillo) Van Scoy for 65 years.   Born in Norwalk, the son of the late Fred Sr and Verna (Sibiskie) Van Scoy, he was also predeceased by his brother Russell and granddaughter Jennifer.
He was a retired police officer from the Norwalk PD, and in his free time enjoyed playing golf, bingo and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by their children; Fred Van Scoy III and his companion Gail, Kathy Spencer and her husband Roger, Jeff Van Scoy and his wife Laura and James Van Scoy, 7 loving grandchildren and 5 cherished great-grandchildren.
His family will receive friends (Masks required)  on Sunday, June 13 from 3-6 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Graveside services will be held at 12:30  PM on Monday, June 14, at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
