Hector M. Dávila, known as “Neco” to his family and friends, 68, of Norwalk, died on January 24, 2021 at the Regional Hospice in Danbury. Born in in Morovis, Puerto Rico, one of the youngest children to Rodolfo and Ubaldina Dávila, he was the husband of the late Carmen Dávila Villafañe. After serving in the National Guard, he had worked for Northeast Utilities in Norwalk, now “NRG” until his retirement.
He enjoyed attending to his home’s landscaping and vegetable farm. He shared great joy in cooking for family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Abigail Soto and her husband Giovanni, and Carmen Reyes and her late husband José, his cherished grandchildren, Olin and Emmi Rei Soto, as well as his siblings and many nieces and nephews.
We’re honoring our Neco’s wishes and will not have a viewing. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 1PM on Thursday, January 28 at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk. (Due to Covid, masks and social distancing are required.)
