Obituary

Jay Christopher Deorio, of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, August 3, 2023. Jay is survived by his two brothers, John and Jeffrey Deorio, Jeff’s spouse, Megan Deorio all of Norwalk, Connecticut. In addition, Jay leaves behind nine nieces and nephews: Jamie Deorio, Jessica (Deorio) Lindley, Matthew, Caroline, and Paul Deorio, Mina, Haley, Jack, and Sam Deorio as well as Cooper and Sienna Lindley and Matthew’s son, Owen Alan Deorio, Jay’s grand nephews and niece.

Born in 1961 to Vincent Deorio and Catherine Petrie. Jay was a lifetime Norwalker who enjoyed his independence and solitude. He is survived by his father, Vincent and predeceased by his mother, Catherine and brother James. 

The youngest of four boys, Jay Loved traveling and was drawn to the trucking industry at an early age and most recently enjoyed driving school children for different municipalities. 

Jay, you will always have our love and be sorely missed. We will listen for your voice, shed a tear, and remember.

A funeral mass will be held for Jay on Tuesday August 8, 2023 10:30 am at St. Matthews Church 216 Scribner Ave. Norwalk with burial to follow at St. Johns Cemetery 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk.
