Jeannette (Yanire) Conte

Jeannette Conte, 90, of Norwalk, died on January 6, 2021 at her home in Norwalk. Born in Montreal Canada, daughter of the late Joseph and Incoranata Yanire, she was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Conte. She was also predeceased by her brother Tony Yanire.

Jeannette was a selfless person, offering her time and talents to those close to her. She delighted in making people happy, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and taking rides to the beach and up north to the casino. She was an excellent cook and baker and loved sharing dinners and conversation around the table.

Jeannette is survived by her children; Philip A. Conte of Norwalk, Nancy M. Faretta and her husband Antonio of Norwalk and Mary Damonte and her husband Jim of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 5 cherished grandchildren;  Anthony, Aurora, Francesca, Donato and Jeannette, as well as her siblings in Canada, Nicholas and Willy Yanire, and Theresa Bucci.

Jeannette’s family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. George Zahrah and his staff, as well as the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse &Hospice, and her amazing nurse Teresa for her loving care.  

Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, Jan 12, at St. Matthew Church with burial at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. (Due to Covid restrictions, sign-in, masks and social distancing required)
