A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Jenna Marie Farmer passed away peacefully, at 28, on March 24, 2020. Born on January 18, 1992 to Edward and Barbara Farmer, Jenna grew up in Danbury, CT where she attended Great Plain Elementary School and then proudly graduated from Naugatuck High School.
Despite living with the hardships of Prader-Willi syndrome, Jenna consistently fought to live a fulfilling and independent life. From a young age, she defied the odds of her syndrome, and grew up to be a beautiful, caring, strong-willed, fiercely loving woman. She loved to swim, play baseball, and even participated in the Special Olympics. Jenna’s family and friends brought her the greatest joy, as did a good meal, a good laugh, her cats, and her Coke Zero.
Jenna leaves behind her parents, her brother, Jesse, her sister, Myla, two nephews, one niece, and countless adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her spirited nature and her enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
In respect of everyone’s health and safety there will be no viewing at this time. Family and friends will be invited to help celebrate Jenna’s life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research at: www.FPWR.org, or to the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association at: www.PWSAUSA.org.
