Joseph Fountain Obituary

Joseph C. Fountain, 80, of Norwalk, died peacefully on November 25, 2021, at Norwalk Hospital. Born in the Bronx, NY, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Flynn) Fountain, he was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Voss) Fountain for 53 years.
Joseph served in the US Air Force, and had retired from IBM after over 30 years of service. An avid fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees, he enjoyed fishing and his tomato garden. Joseph was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Michael and Richard.
In addition to his loving wife Dorothy, he is survived by their son Joseph and his wife Dawne, and daughter Laurie Molner and daughter Allison Garrigan, seven cherished grandchildren; Dylan and his wife Christina, Grace, Jimmy, Jake, Cody, Dane and Blakely, and a great-granddaughter Aubrey, as well as his sister Joan Zeien.
His family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Nov 30, at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, followed by military honors.
