Julian (Ski) T. Karvoski, age 87 of Norwalk, died peacefully at his home on March 16, 2022. Ski was the loving husband of Joan (Naclerio) Karvoski for the past 53 years. He was born in New Rochelle, NY on March 12, 1935, the son of the late Julian T. and Catherine (Doerich) Karvoski. In addition to his wife Joan, Ski is survived by his children Paul Karvoski (Jen), Krista Acocelli (Dean), and Ellie Karvoski (Julie), his grandchildren Dustin, Gavin, Claire and Brighton, brothers Thomas and Robert Karvoski, sisters June Lech and Karen Sereda, and many nieces and nephews.
In all things, Ski had a loving heart, a great sense of humor, a strong intellect, and had a passion for all sports as a player, coach and fan. He devoted his life to helping and guiding others, showing compassion and love to anyone that crossed his path. His service to others included the U.S. Army, helping the homeless, being a Eucharist minister, counseling and providing support to those in need. His gentle and humble soul will be greatly missed by all.
A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 10:30 AM at St. Matthew’s Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. There will be a viewing at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
