Obituary

Louis John Bardos, 82, of Fairfield, formerly of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. He was a 1959 graduate of Norwalk High School and owned MasterCraft Plumbing and Heating, which was in business in the Norwalk area since 1969. Lou proudly served in the Connecticut Army National Guard as a sergeant from 1963-1969.

Lou was an excellent athlete in his youth, pitching for the Hilltop and Strawberry Hill Athletic Clubs’ baseball teams in the early 1960s. He was an elder at the Calvin Reformed Church of Norwalk and a 30-year member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. In addition, Lou enjoyed fishing and being at the beach and was a life-long NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.

Lou is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Aldrich Bardos, six adored children and stepchildren: Sheri and Clyde Mount of Norwalk, Tracy and Anthony Vitti of Cary, NC, Louis P. And Lula Bardos of Easton, Michael and Nicole Hibbert and Mark and Kristen Hibbert of New Canaan, and J. Andrew and Meghan Hibbert of Fairfield; thirteen cherished grandchildren: Ethan, Kevin (Kiersten) and Ryan Mount, Tyler Vitti, Louis T. And Olivia Bardos, Morgan, Faith, Maeve, Liam, Brady, Elle and Camden Hibbert; and many other close friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Irene Bardos, sister Gail Myers, and former wife Jean Bardos.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Sep. 1, 2023, starting at 11:30 AM, at the South Norwalk Boat Club, 17 Mack Street, Norwalk.
