Luis Franklin Urban, age 78, died peacefully on December 17, 2020. Frank was born on May 2, 1942 in the Dominican Republic, the son of the late Jose Urban and Amada Perez. He was a retired mechanic and owner of an industrial sewing machine company in New York. He was an amazing cook, dancer, had a great sense of humor and loved life. Frank was very passionate about his family, the New York Yankees, politics and his home country and culture. He made friends easily and leaves behind quite the legacy of fun times and generosity among them.
Frank will be mourned by his children Mirna Marin, Soraya Bell, Frank Urban, Jr., Nelsy Urban, Nastenka Mirthes and Carl Urban and their spouses; grandchildren Krystal, Farrah, Rick, Frank, Philip, Benito (late), Jason, Jordan, Angie, Joshua (late), Julian, Olivia, Logan and Lillian; great grandchildren Neil, Alex, Lani and Bryson.
Frank was one of 15 siblings and is survived by sisters Irma, Luz, Brunilda and Orietta as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren.
