Marie "Mato" Adrienne (Lamour) Saint Louis

Marie Adrienne ‘Mato’ Lamour Saint Louis, died on August 19, 2023, at her home in Norwalk, CT at the age of 94. She was born in La Vallée-de-Jacmel, Haiti, the daughter of the late Dinois and Viergina (Boursiquot) Lamour. She is predeceased by her siblings, Hercule Dine Lamour, Ernest Lamour, Anata Lamour, sons Yves and Robes, and daughters Evelyn and Marie Lourdes. She is survived by her brother Fénebre Lamour, and children Gerald, Yolande, Seraphin, Lionel, Frantz, Roosevelt and Rolkin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wendy, Cassandra, Kimberlie, Deborah, Vanessa, Junior, Emmanuel, Christilly, Benjamin, Magdala, Sonjay, Tasha, Rebeca, Ata, Leorie and Ryan, as well as her great-grandchildren Caden and Eden, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Mato enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and extended family. Her hobbies included cooking, taking long walks, la priyé, and going to Mass. She loved life in her hometown of La Vallée-de-Jacmel and went back as often as possible while she could. Our beloved Mato dedicated so much of her life to taking care of those who needed her most. She was deeply loved and cherished and will be missed. May she continue to be with us in spirit and look over us all from Heaven as she did here on Earth.  

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26th, from 8:30 -9:45 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 9:45 a.m. with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.
