Mary Ann (Salvato) Riccio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at her home in Wilton on June 22, 2022. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 66 years, Robert J. Riccio, her son Bob (Jane) Riccio, her daughter Lynda Riccio (Brian) Egan, her grandchildren Kelly Egan (Jim) Peters, Devan Egan, Yuhe (Happy) Cai and great grandchildren Maura Peters and Braeden Peters (born, June 23rd). She is survived by her devoted sisters-in-law, Carol Salvato and Joan Salvato and her brother Anthony (Rosemarie) Salvato. Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers, Salvatore Salvato and John Salvato.
Born in Norwalk to the late Salvatore and Fanny (Epiphania) Capuano Salvato, Mary and Robert have lived in Wilton for over sixty years. Mary attended Tracey School and Center Jr. High School in Norwalk, graduating Norwalk High School in 1951. She was employed at Nash Engineering in South Norwalk and retired from Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Norwalk. Mary was a member of St. Anne Club and Sons & Daughters of Italy in Norwalk and, a volunteer for the Norwalk Seaport Association
Respects may be paid to the family on Wednesday, June 29th at 9:30AM at St Mathew’s Church in Norwalk, with a Memorial Mass at 10AM, followed by the burial at St John’s Cemetery in Norwalk. Flowers may be sent to Magner’s Funeral Home and donations may be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America.
