Mortimer Ralph Conley

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mortimer Ralph Conley on April 10, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center. His beloved wife, Beverly passed on February 4, 2018. Mort was born on February 27, 1928 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Mortimer Sr. and Claire (List) Conley. He joined the Marine Corp and embraced the Marine code until his dying day. Mort married his first wife Martha Black who passed in 1960. He met Beverly and married in 1961. Mort worked at Nash Engineering for most of his career, later became a Norwalk Police officer, for a short time, returning to Nash until his retirement.

Survivors include his son-in-law Richard Lato and his wife Linda, granddaughter Debra Gillett and her husband James, grandson Richard Lato, Jr. and fiance Michelle, great granddaughter Krystle Fitzpatrick and husband Nicholas, great grandsons, Silvestro Accettullo Jr., and James Gillett Jr., great great grandchildren, Tyler Lowe and Matthew Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Gail Lato, brothers Claude and William and his precious great great granddaughter Alyssa Lynn Fitzpatrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at 10 AM in St Matthews Church 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery 81 Riverside Avenue. Calling hours will be on Sunday April 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.

The family would like to thank the staff at Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull. Tracy and Natalie at Amedisys, Q, Kathy, Kelecia, Domeeka from Right at Home and Dr. Bluestein for their care and compassion.
