Nicholas N. DeRosa

Nicholas N. DeRosa, 74, beloved husband of Lorraine (Gilberti) DeRosa, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Norwalk Hospital. Born in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late Nicholas and Dorothy (Ritchie) DeRosa, he served in the National Guard and had retired from Applera Corporation as the Director of Risk Management.  A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, Nick loved traveling with his wife, Lorraine and lavishing his love on his children and granddaughters. A man of great faith, Nick was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus-Council # 14360. He was also an avid poker player and fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants.

In addition to Lorraine, he is survived by their sons, Robert DeRosa and his wife Lisa, and Michael DeRosa and his wife Meredith, three cherished granddaughters, Madelyn, Chloe and Courtney.   His family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Yale Medical Center, Dr. Inderjit Singh, Dr Varadarajan, and Dawn Dickinson, RN, for their outstanding care during this difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 9, at St. Matthew Church, Norwalk. Burial will be held at a later date.
