Patricia Mary Walsh

Patricia Mary Walsh, age 85 of Norwalk, died peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on March 22, 2022. Born in Norwalk in 1936, Pat was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Rose (McHugh) Walsh. She lived in Norwalk most of her life and had moved recently to New Canaan. Pat was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy (1954) and the College of St. Rose (1958). Following college, she was a teacher in the Norwalk public schools for several years, and later held a variety of office jobs. She devoted the majority of her life to caring for her beloved parents and serving those in need, including acting as caregiver for her good friend Ann Walsh until her death. A devout Catholic, Pat was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s parish. She was a dedicated volunteer through her membership in the Legion of Mary and served the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Pat is survived by many cousins in the U.S., Ireland, and England, along with many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 10 AM at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Pat’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 4-7 PM.
