Ralph C. Tirella, Jr.

Ralph Carmine Tirella Jr. (AKA “Big Ralph”) age 62 of Oxford, CT beloved husband of Lorraine (Silva) Tirella for over 39 incredible years, suddenly and peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his family on November 6, 2021. Ralph’s entire professional career was spent within the propane industry. He began his career at Hocon Gas then transitioned to Pioneer Gas until he ultimately decided to start his own propane company, Phoenix Propane of Oxford, CT, until he inevitably sold the company and retired in December of 2019.

Ralph was considered a family man who loved his family dearly. He loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends, was an avid gun enthusiast, appreciated hot rods, enjoyed listening to oldies music, was a skilled pool player, and took great pride in being a Bail Enforcement Agent.

In addition to his loving wife, Lorraine, Ralph Jr. leaves behind their three children, Ralph Tirella III, Jennifer Tirella, and Kevin Tirella, and his only cherished grandchild Philip Tirella all of which reside in Oxford, CT. He was predeceased by his father Ralph Tirella Sr. and left behind his loving mother Nancy Tirella of Oxford, CT, his sister, Elaine (Bruce) Miner of Beacon Falls, CT, his brother Patrick (Michelle) Tirella of Ansonia, CT, his seven nephews and three nieces, several cousins, and an abundance of friends.

Too many memories to ever be forgotten, you will live with us until the day we meet again.

The family will receive friends on Friday, 11/19/2021 during the hours of 4pm-8pm at Magner Funeral Home at 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT with a grave side ceremony that will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk, CT on Saturday, 11/20/2021 at 10am.
