Obituary

Reverend Michael Coleman Palmer, former pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton for over 36 years, died on August 14, 2023 in Greenwich. Born in Stamford, the son of the late William R. Palmer Jr. and Mary M. (Coleman) Palmer, he attended Stamford High School, St. Thomas in Bloomfield, St. Bernard's in Rochester, NY where he became a priest, and earned his Master's degree from Fairfield University. 

He is survived by his siblings, Priscilla Palmer Thifault of Martha's Vineyard, MA, Diana Palmer Yeakel of Guilford, William R. Palmer III of FL, and Richard T. Palmer of North Carolina, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-7PM with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7PM, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, Wilton. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, August 18, and will be livestreamed at: OLFWilton.org. Burial will be held privately.
