Suzanne Buckanoff-Davis, of Norwalk, Ct, passed away from pancreatic cancer on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT. Suzanne was born on February 17, 1941 and was the oldest daughter of Sam and Helen Shankman. She attended Boston University, graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She moved to Connecticut from Illinois in 1967 and had remained a resident since then. For more than 30 years she had her own interior design business, Creative Environments
Suzanne was known for her kind and compassionate spirit and she would do anything for her family and friends. She remained lifelong friends with her elementary school classmates and they frequently took trips together. For the last five decades, one of her greatest enjoyments was her weekly “Lunch Bunch” with her local CT friends every Friday in Westport. She also had a fondness for animals, having ridden horses as a child, and always having a household of pets.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Mike, three daughters Marissa, Samantha & Halley, stepdaughter, Aimee, grandson, Drew & her sister & husband, Joanne & Jim Steinback & brother & wife, Bruce & Cynthia Shankman. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. It was Suzanne’s wish to not have a funeral, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
