Vasilyke Valerie (Billos) Konspore

Vasilyke (Valerie) Konspore of Norwalk Ct, passed away on Wednesday Aug. 9, 2023 at the age of 87. She was born in the Bronx NY on Jan. 22,1936, the only child of the late George Billos and Panagiota (Penny) Vlak. She was retired from Measurement Systems over 20 years ago and lived her life to the fullest. Valerie was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Konspore.

She leaves behind a very big blended family. Anthony Scarpone, JoAnne Taliercio, Christine (Mike) Zaleski, Jeff (Ellen) Konspore, Sharon Konspore, Matthew (Lisa) Konspore, and Andrew (Christy) Konspore, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Upon arriving here in Ct, she resided on Gregory Blvd across the street from the original Marvin School where her children attended.  She enjoyed spending every free moment in the summer time at Calf Pasture Beach, in her favorite spot by the pier and the first life guard stand and life guard house. Originally years ago that's where they were located. During the last 8 months of her life, she resided at the original Marvin School that was now remodeled into The Marvin Senior Living Facility. During her interview she was asked why she wanted to live there and her response was: I lived across the street many years ago, its familiar to me and this is where my children went to school. Valerie's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Marvin for their love and support while she lived there, especially Lee, Brooke, and Jose. You made the last 8 months of her life wonderful. How ironic is it that the last trip she was on (4 weeks ago) was to Calf Pasture Beach which she hadn't been to in years. She was able to walk down to the water and put her feet in. Everything came full circle for Val. There will be no calling hours and her services will be private.

If you would like to honor Val, go to Calf Pasture Beach and walk down to the sand staying to the right and just imagine her sitting there facing the water looking out into the ocean with her cigarette in her hand. This was her home away from home.
