Virginia F. Sutton, beloved wife of 63 years of John Sutton passed away on January 3, at the age of 90. She was born on May 15, 1930 in Calabria, Italy to the late Vincent and Mary (Polito) Morabito. Virginia grew up in Norwalk and was a graduate of Norwalk High School. She spent much of her married life in Norwalk raising her three children. She worked for many years as a secretary in the Norwalk Public School system.
Virginia enjoyed nothing more than spending time with and taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed her time spent in Bonita Springs, Florida with her husband and family. She had many friends and treasured their time spent together. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by her two children; daughter Colleen Stanton and her husband Tim and her son John Sutton and his wife Sarah Skinner. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren; Andrew Stanton and his wife Lindsey, Brian Stanton and his wife Stephanie, Michael Stanton, Sylvie Sutton and her husband João, and Vincent Sutton as well as one great grandchild Mackenzie Stanton, and a second great grandchild on the way. She also leaves behind her beloved sister Eleanor Sveda, her brother-in-law Jerry Sutton, her dear friend Anne Barbarula and many adoring nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her loving daughter Sharon Hepner in 2017.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atria Greenridge place in Rocky Hill and Autumn Lake in Cromwell for their care and support.
