Bessie Eileen (Hedrick) Calzone

Bessie “Betsy”  Eileen Calzone, age 83, beloved wife of Joseph E. Calzone Jr., of Stratford, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in New York City, the daughter of Julius and Lena (Vilardi) Hedrick, she was a co-founder of Calzone Case Co.  She enjoyed time with her family, cooking, reading, needlepoint and watching the NY Giants.
Survived by two sons Joseph E. Calzone III and Vincent J. Calzone and his wife Mary, a brother Carl Hedrick and his wife Delores , 5 cherished grandchildren; Vincent Jr., Timothy, Andrew, Matthew and Jessica, as well as her niece Lorayne Cousins and other nieces and nephews. Bessie was predeceased by her sisters Betty and Helen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held directly at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 28. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours.
