Jane Helen Pfister

    Jane Helen Pfister, "Baga",  age 91, died peacefully on May 10, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born March 2, 1924, in Waterbury,Connecticut, the daughter of Frank and Helen Adamski. Jane was an active member of St. Matthew Church and was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, baking, watching tennis and other sports and finding bargains at yard sales.  She always looked forward to summers with her longtime friend Renie. Jane was also very fond of her sister-in-law, Anne Kirchoff of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

     She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Albert Pfister; their children, Sharon P. Fawcett, Albert F.  Pfister, Jr., Gary C. Pfister, and Susan L. Pfister (Maya Davidson); her grandchildren, Jessica Bartch (Nate Bartch), Emily Fawcett, Katie Wunder, and Robbie Wunder, her great-grandson, Colton Bartch, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Sophie Lubak, Edward Adamski and Chester Adamski.
    Jane's family wishes to express their special thanks to the medical and nursing staff at Norwalk Hospital and her health aide, Ann Marie Williams, for their kind and compassionate care.   Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12 from 5 to 7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home and a Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to The Westport Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave, Westport, CT 06880 or the Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 34 Maple St, Norwalk,CT 06856.
