Katherine Ann Crugnola

Katherine Ann Crugnola, age 75 of Norwalk, died peacefully at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport on Wednesday, July 22.   She was born in Norwalk on February 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Mario and Louella Crugnola, and has lived here all of her life.  Katherine attended local schools and was retired from Stew Leonard’s where she had worked in the deli department. She loved playing bingo, cards and watching movies with her friends at the Broad River Homes, and an occasional visit to the casinos.  She is survived by her dear friends and caretakers Frances Zeranski and Geraldine Giannino and their families. She was also predeceased by her longtime best friend, Mary Poniatowski.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk on Monday, July 27 at 10 AM, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Sunday from 3-6 PM.  Donations in Katherine’s name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr. PO Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492.
