Robert L. Butryn

Robert Butryn, age 81 of Norwalk, CT, formerly of Yonkers, husband of the late Anna (Ward) Butryn, died on Feb.10, 2016 at Autumn Lake Healthcare. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Robert worked as a letter carrier for the Postal Service and loved fishing. 

He is survived by 2 daughters, Jo-Ann Denzel of Norwalk and Patricia Brown of Wappinger’s Falls, NY, 5 cherished grandchildren: William, Emily, Anna, Dakota and Dylan; 2 great-grandchildren, Grace and Sofia, brother Richard Butryn of CA and sister Joyce Scruton of NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tues, Feb 16, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave. Norwalk, with military burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. His family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
