Stanley J Poremba

Stanley J. Poremba, Jr, 76, of Norwalk, husband of Patricia (Cutrone) Poremba for 55 years, died on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Notre Dame Convalescent Home. Born in Norwalk, son of the late Stanley and Beatrice (Gerber) Poremba, he was a graduate of Norwalk High School- Class of '58. Known as "Butch" to his longtime friends, he was an office supply salesman for Brock Press, Corporate Express and more recently W.B. Mason. Mr. Poremba served as president of the Laurel Athletic Club, Norwalk Kiwanis and the Norwalk Old Timers and was an avid golfer at Oak Hills.
In addition to his loving wife, Stanley is survived by his daughters, Barbara Poremba of Atlanta, GA and Sheila Ferrara and her husband Michael of Fairfield and 2 grandchildren Rob and Breezy Ferrara as well as several nieces and nephews.. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Poremba Horvath and brother Richard M. Poremba.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct 11 from 4 to 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday at St. Matthew Church, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850 or  "S.S.T.V. - Capital Improvements" at Notre Dame Convalescent Home, 76 West Rocks Rd, Norwalk, CT 06851.
