Dear Family, so sorry for the loss of Steven, your dear loved one.

It’s also comforting to know what the Bible teaches: Most people who have died will be resurrected. Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs (grave) will...come out." (John 5:28,29)

Death will be no more…..these words are faithful and true…Revelation 21: 3-5

In harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise (park like) earth. (Luke 23:43)

This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans.

The Bible says: "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it." Psalm 37:29. See also Job 14:14, 15; Luke 7:11-17; and Acts 24:15. for more Answers to your Questions go to: jw.org

I remember our cousins the Calzone kids as being all boy and Steven was the leader. I always thought that they had the nicest parents but they must have been a handful for Aunt Joan and Uncle Rocky. It's hard to believe that someone who was so tough and so full of life is gone. It's a very sad time for all of us who knew him.

It's been a while since I saw you cousin Steve. 20 years or more, I bet. I will always remember your handsome smile, that thick crop of dark black hair (you can thank your Mom for that!), and your fun, adventurous spirit. Our family vacation to Ted Hilton's Resort is still one of my favorite childhood memories. May you rest in peace in God's loving arms.

And to you Suzy, Conner and Hannah, I wish you comfort during this incredibly difficult time. Tight hugs to Aunt Jean, Uncle Rock, and cousins Paul, Peter and Glenn ... and your families. I'll be with you all in spirit on Saturday. I love you very much.

A message to my friend. A “Message in a bottle.”

I never thought I’d need to write about my friend Steve, or share with his family just how much Steve loved them, and how he touched the lives of everyone around him… every day.

To say my friend had a way about him… that put people at ease. Steve earned the love of his children, and the respect of intelligent men.

To share how much he loved his family, and how proud he was of Hanna and Connor. For Hannah and Connor…. Steve gave you all the tools you need for a happy and fulfilling life.
Steve was so very very.. proud of the two of you. He would actually glow, when he talked about you both, as he kept us up to speed on your accomplishments.

Remember…. Steve will always be with us, because he filled our lives with love...and courage...and the strength to move forward…even in the face of adversity.

For Suzie, the love of his life.. Steve will always look over you. We all could tell...because he would always light up when you walked in the room.

As my friend, we went on great adventures together, traveling to far away places, exploring tropical islands, and sampling some local rums…And yet…always…he spoke of his family!!

Steve loved the sun, but the only thing brighter, was the love he showed for life…and the pride he shared over Hannah and Connor.

Your dad…My friend...was one of the most caring and giving souls I have had the privilege to know. Jennifer always called Steve a BIG,WONDERFULL TEDDY BEAR !!
She always said that anything he touched seemed to turn to gold, and how fun that was to watch, as he enjoyed his life so fully.

Steve was the guy that you could always count on to be there when you needed him. He was a stand-up guy. He earned our trust. He captured our hearts.

For us…his friends, and for his family…we can’t understand why the Lord took Steve. His light shined so bright!!! I like to think that the light that Steve brought to us all…
Will shine brightly within us. That light of optimism, and fortitude, of endurance and humility. A warm and comforting light. My friend’s MOJO !!!

When you are sad… think of Steve… and you can’t help but smile! Remembering his silly grin, or his warming chuckle and kind demeanor.
THAT’S THE GIFT STEVE GAVE TO US ALL.

As his friend, I watched time, and time again, how Steve would make people feel; how he would brighten their day.

There are so many people that live in the fog; that are always grey….but not my friend…not your dad…not your husband.. Steve was the LIGHTHOUSE !!!
A bright light… and a safe harbor. We all must shine…remembering this great man… and the light that he brought to us all.

A letter to my friend. A message to his family. A tribute to this great man. The Calzones have been, and will always be, part of our family.

Steve will always be remembered…as long as we live our lives with his light. We too must shine…even now, when it seems so dark.

That’s what my friend would do. That’s what your dad, your husband, Suzie’s soul mate...would want us to do. That’s what we learned from this great man.

This is my message in a bottle for my friend. This our recognition of this incredible man. Fair skies and calm seas my dear friend.
We love you… and we will miss you.
