My deepest condolences to your family. Betsy was a wonderful colleague and mentor when I worked for the Fairfield public schools as a math resource teacher, and she was a special consultant to our department. She was caring, smart, funny and a pleasure to be around...a true teacher and leader! And, I will miss seeing her kayaking by our beach on Lake Hills.

Ray I was so very sorry to hear of your wifes passing. She looked like a wonderful person. I hope you will have a smile or two remembering our hanging out on your Moms porch and talking about cars and girls. You always had such a positive attitude. Keep that with you.

Deepest sympathy to all,
I will remember always Betsy's love of Mathematics and her devotion to the communication and value of education. I had the privilege of working with her through two years of a CCSS-STEM workshop through Albertus Magnus College, New Haven. She was always encouraging, inquisitive and giving in her interactions with workshop colleagues. We all loved her. Thank you Betsy for being part of our lives.

I met Betsy more than 10 years ago. She was an extremely intelligent woman who always advocated for student learning. I had the opportunity to work with her on several state committees, and also in the math department for Hamden Public Schools. I am extremely saddened to hear of her sudden passing. To this day, I think of her whenever I see frogs! Betsy loved frogs for sure! My sincere condolences to her family. RIP Betsy.......
